So here it is, in the making since late last year: ZERO Vol.1 is now published and in stores. For the collection we wanted to do something special, instead of simply re-using existing covers and design. I’ve always had (still have) a soft spot for paperback collections that went the extra mile: new design, extra material, back matter,… that make you feel you got something for your money. With that, I designed the collection from the ground up, giving it its own identity that at once embraces the single issues it collects, but also is its own object with a distinct voice (I did something similar with the cover design for Ivan Brandon’s VIKING) — and used the back matter to show how we build the covers for every single issue.
You can find ZERO Vol. 1: AN EMERGENCY in your local comic book store. If you don’t have a comic book store nearby (see here), or simply prefer a different option, you can buy it on the US Amazon, the Canadian Amazon or the UK Amazon.
This looks fantastic.
